The Sign of Jonah
Jonah... for Lent? Sounds fishy, but it is a natural fit. When the Jews asked Jesus for a sign, He said, "I will give you only the sign of Jonah." After three days in the belly of the earth, Jesus rose with news of God's prodigal grace. This series of special services for Lent explores the meaning of "the Sign of Jonah" as we follow Jonah on his journey... and Jesus on His way to the Cross.
- Ash Wednesday, February 17 - "God is Calling" (Jonah 1:1-3)
- Thursday, February 25 - "Saved in the Storm" (Jonah 1:4-16 )
- Thursday, March 4 - "Our Providing God" (Jonah 1:17 )
- Thursday, March 11 - "Praying in the Belly of the Fish" (Jonah 2:1-10 )
- Thursday, March 18 - "The God of the Second Chnace" (Jonah 3:1-4 )
- Thursday, March 25 - "About Face" (Jonah 3:5-10 )
Each of these services begins at 7:00 PM.
