The new wall cross over the altar was made and donated by Rolf Vogel to the glory of God in memory of his grandson, Sgt. Nicholas Conan Mason, killed in Iraq on December 21, 2004.
Mr. Vogel also made and donated the new pulpit to the glory of God in memory of the deceased founding members of Peace Lutheran Church: George & Bea Burgess, Ed & Bobbi Duerson, Warren Gillmor, Jerry Harman, and Helen Wegner.
The congregation gathers outside for the processional entrance into the church with Rev. Dr. John Denninger, Senior Pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Springfield and First Vice-president of the Southeastern District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. He served as the Proclaimer for the Dedication Service.
